Hey Guys,
So I'm a total noob to this whole thing and I'm glad I stumbled upon these forums through Google. The more I read about the application process the more confused I get, so I hope you guys can help a sh2e2 out! ;D
So background story: I'm an Egyptian and I've been doing my undergrad studies in Canada since 2009 on a student viss'. I have a couple of years left to finish my degree so I have legal temporary residence in Canada. I traveled with my girlfriend of 2 years to Cairo for the summer where we got legally married last month and now we are looking to apply for APR.
Now my questions are:
a) Is it better to apply in Cairo or when I head back to Canada next month and are the processing times at cic.gc.ca accurate?
b) Should I send my medical report with the application or after it is requested?
c) Should I authenticate all documents required (medical, criminal record, etc.) at the Canadian Embassy in Cairo?
d) Any other tips that you can think of to help me on this long and nerve-wracking quest is greatly appreciated.
Thank you w Ramadan Kareem!
