Dear PMM,
It is now nearly 8 weeks of my sending my Passports+Medicals+RPRF fees+ Other documents requested.
I am planning for applying CAIPS notes.
There is also provision for Overseas File+ CAIPS Notes also in the form.
Please advise what should I apply for - only CAIPS notes OR Vverseas Flie+ CAIPS Note.
Which will be quicker?

CAIPS file is option if you want everything what you submitted which will take long time.
In your case, you only need to check CAIPS options.

Its only 8 weeks, take it easy and relax, it will soon come

Hi eyedoc,

don't ask for the file. that may take longer...

and don't buy the caips de-coder... you'll find it on this forum if you search...

pls remember that caips notes take over 4-5 weeks and i'm sure you are not in a position to wait for that long before taking an action. so, i'll suggest just give New Delhi a phone call...

Thanks for the quick reply.
On phone to CHC Delhi there is only computerized service available.Also there is a recording which says that they do not respond to telephonic inquiry on phone OR to personal appearance at the consulate.
Please advise what should I do?

from his post, it seems he is only waiting for his passport with shining visa on it. If thats the case, then it seems all the problems are solved and the case has been finalized. It is just the matter of time now

I read your post and there is nothing to worried about. They never asked PCC from Oman so it means they finalized the application without it. You sent them PCC from Oman, so it is above and over. They will just look at it unless you have criminal record in Oman, you are all good.

Take it easy and dont think too much. I know it is hard but CHCs take their time. Think of those days when it takes years and years to get even AOR.

Thanks for your confidence building post.
I have no criminal record in OMAN, it was a clean PCC.
Hoping for my dilemma to end soon.
The problem is my 2 sons education. They have got provisional admission to WINDSOR UNIVERSITY.
If there is further delay I will also have to get them admitted to ENG. COLLEGE in India for the time being, costing more money, waste of time & worries regarding the delay.
Please respond.
