CAIPS Notes Status

Hi,

My interview was waived off. I sent my medicals and FBI documents in last week of September 2008 to Buffalo office.

I ordered CAIPS Notes for my file and last status on my caips notes reads

Nov-2008

FOSS- NOTHING NEW.
FILE REVIEWED. READY FOR PPT, BFTO R09.

any idea?

Hi Kiyani,

I ordered them online at http://caipsnotes.com/index.shtml

But keep in mind it takes between 1-2 months to get your CAIPS Notes. But I have found them very useful.

Check here http://caips.ca/costs.shtml for the cost. If you have someone in Canada to order it for you, it must be cheaper.

Here's what I got from another forum in regards with CAIPS ordering from inside Canada.

For those applicants who are already living in Canada, you can directly obtain CAIPS notes. Complete the form TBC 350-57 found here

For the federal govt institution, write CIC. Next field provide your immigration file number and mention that you want to obtain CAIPS notes. Complete the rest of the form and along with a $5 money order mail to

If your friend is obtaining the notes on your behalf write a cover letter saying that you authorise him to get the information on your behalf. Your friend will have to provide proof of his residence in canada e.g. copy of his PR card or passport.

Hi Kiyani,

I paid around $34 for my Caips Notes. I ordered them at www.caipsnotes.com. Once you get your notes you need Caips Codes to interpret Caips Notes. Caips Codes are available at www.caipsnotes.com for $5 BUT you can find them free at http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t2988.0.html.

I think Caips Notes are very useful. You get to know the full history of you case and especially how visa officer gave you points. And dates your different documents received. This way you can see if some document is missing. So i think its worth to spend $34 on caips notes.
