CAIPS notes recd

I just recd CAIPS notes after more than two months. It came in a CD, but it also mentions that certain information is not disclosed as per section so and so and the section copy is attached. Did anyone else also got this kind of reply with the section copy? is it normal ? What could they be not disclosing? The section mentions about security issues but there is nothing which invloves security issues in our case. Pls let me know if anyone has any info as to why they dent it or if its been sent like this everyone? I will appreciate your responses

My husband has already been interviewed and we are waiting for the decision.

Hi,

A covering letter to the CAIPS sent to the requestor explains why some details which falls under Section 15(1) and 19(1) are not disclosed. I don't think you have to bother about those sections. The details regarding the processing of the application, what is on your interest, are followed in other parts beginning with Case Status Selection.... page by page.

Thanks for your response wilson. It means its a usual for them to inform about those sections. May I ask if you or someone else you know got the same response? Also I was expecting it to be in hard copy form but it came on a CD ( which is actually better).
I could not understand the info in it did not even mention about the interview date of my husband and in all other sections are either blank or says 0. Does a zero means anything? first 15 pages have the info and all the rest (about 300 pages) have our scammed docs which we submitted. I was surprised even the pics are scanned.

Did you order CAIPS note or the entire files?
More than 2 months seems long for CAIPS notes, and as I know, CAIPS should include all your scanned files.

I maybe wrong, but hope you can interpret your CAIPS better,

They asked for further 30 days extension after 4 weeks of usual time which seemed unusual to us. Then there was this attached letter saying some information qualifies for exemption of access to info as per section so ans so. I dont know if this letter is given with every CAIPS request. Did you get the same kind of letter mentioning the same? It will be good to know its a usual procedure rather than special circumstances. Thanks

Hi,

I received my CAIPS 'paper prints' ( not a CD) in 2008 Nov,within one month of request. There was a covering memo with detailed information to Section 15(1) and 19(1) of the Access to Information Act. It seems that it can be a common practice but I can't say whether all the requestors are getting such covering memo. In my CAIPS several entries were left either blank or marked 0 ( zero ) against it. There were entries related to personal history, assessment and some points to their reviews. However, I could not get any useful information from the CAIPS to find out why my file was delayed.

If you don't mind me asking, when did you send in your CAIPS request? I sent mine in on Nov 25, 2009 and haven't heard back anything from them!! Although for me, I am kind of lucky because we already received our PPR in the meantime, and so the CAIPS notes are much less important to us now.

Thanks for your response wilson, I am much relieved to know its a common practice and also that you eventually got your visa.
TripleP Nov 25 seems to be pretty long time, in my case I recd a letter after 4 weeks of my applying asking for the extension of time. I recd my CAIPS 35 days after that. Congratulations for getting the PPR, we are waiting for the same.

I thought you received CAIPS after two months.

I ordered my CAIPS via CAIPSNOTES.com on Dec 19,2009, no news still. It does take very long though.

yes it took me more than two months; I meant when they askd for extension of thirty days I got it after that extension period was over, so total time about 65 days. The delay could also be due to christmas and new year holidays but still it did take a long time. are you waiting for yours, do let me know when they arrive and what does the letter mention. Thanks
