CAIPS NOTES - Help needed

So after almost 7 weeks, I got my CAIPS Notes today to see why I have still not received IA even though people who applied after me have and some have even received PR. Please Seniors, help me understand the notes to know what to expect. Any insights will be much appreciated.

Sorry no one's been able to help you with this. I can't, either. I do want to ask, tho - have you received anything, requesting medicals, RPRF fee? If so, have you done this?

Since the notes say they are "pending," I would guess that means that they have been requested from you, but not yet received.

Unfortunately I have not received any requests. I wanted to do the Medicals but I am still doubt. I just don't if that will be OK. You know, these guys are very picky. What do you think?

No, you have to receive a form from CIC before you can do the medicals.

I don't know what to tell you. Perhaps they are doing the security check and it is taking time. Or, perhaps it would be a good idea to send a case-specific inquiry - perhaps something got lost in the mail, it happens.

I emailed them on April 19 questioning about my application and they replied me on April 21. This was their reply.

" Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.

Hi, if I may interpret some of your CAIPS notes.

PSDEC is 1. Meaning the IO have determined that your profession is one of the 38. It seems to me that the IO has started doing the background check, and once he is done checking the authenticity of all the docs that you have submitted, then it will be the time that the IO will evaluate your total points earned. IMM 1017s is medical forms. It is said that it is being requested but it did not say that it was already issued. This means that the IO has determined that applicant must undergo medical test, and that medical test issuance forms and RPRF are yet to be issued.

IO's before evaluates total points earned based on the documents the applicant had provided. If you have 67 points, then the backgorund check commences. But in your ( and mine as well) it appears that they are not writing the points in the CAIPS unless and until they have verified the authenticity of the documents. But hte good thing here in my opinion is that, the moment that you will see your total points in the CAIPS notes, it means that the BC's are done and medical forms will be issued soon after that.

It appears to me that everything is well with your application.

And BTW, the BFD (Bring Forward Date) in your CAIPS was set last May 01, 2010. It means that the IO opened your file last May 01, 2010. I just hope that the medical forms were issued on that day, and soon you will be receiving your medical forms.

Hi aspire, note that the applicant is CEC, not FSW. No points. IMMCAT is CE2 (qualifying w/student experience). So PSDEC 1 must mean something else...?

Everything looks OK, but this CEC application is already over a year old. This twice as long as most applications submitted at the same time, I understand Tarry's concern/frustration...

Thanks Guys, I received medical request and RPRF request in August. Fortunately, I had already done medicals in June so I only need to pay for the RPRF and inform IO that medicals had already been done. Hopefully PP request will be in soon. Lets see how long it will take :-\
