CAIPS --> GCMS - NEW FILE NUMBER

When I received my 2nd AOR in November .. I got the file number starts with "Exxxxxx"

Dear Sir/Madam

GCMS is the new system that will eventually replaced the CAIPS system. Its not available at all visa offices right now. When we request the CAIPS file from CIC, they are providing us with either the CAIPS or the GCMS file depending on its availability. There is no difference in our fee between a CAIPS file or a GCMS file.

Removal of mailing address is happening to all of us...either there is something wrong with this diseased irritable software or there is moving situation. again i don't know whether this is good or bad or just insignificant

Mine too has been removed. It is the 2nd time, it is happening to me.

i also got tel cal in my office someone called and asked that he is a corrior service provider and asked from operator wether i am working here and he wnt to delever some package but 2 three days past no package is delevered may be someone verifying i am working here, yes he also asked abt address to come but no one yet may be someone for verification

I think it will be your additional documents request or may be verification becoz Sultan ali is the oct 2009 applicants and last week he have got additional documents request from CHC london.

is it a good idea to apply for another "police clearance certificate" ? Does anyone know, when they ask for additional docs, if they ask for tax returns and/or police certs, bank statements etc?

whats the difference between file number starting from E & B.....????......I think my new file number from London VO starts from B...........

i already received a E******** application number from london, mentioned in my second AOR.

My understanding is that "B" files are created in CAIPS and "E" files in GCMS.
