HI everyone!
I'd like to order CAIPS notes. But I can't understand how to fill in the new form IMM5563E - Section B
Do I need to choose Electronic Files or Physical ones? If electronic files - what exactly to tick?

Many thanks in advance for the advice! Smiley

In section B of the Access to Information...there are 2 choices: Electronic and Physical -just tick on one of them. If you choose electonic file, make sure to put your file number and/or UCI number corresponding to the line if you want to see or you ticked status of file or reason for refusal. Whereas for Physical file, you have put your oversease office example London, UK, file number etc.

My QUESTION now is, for applicants with DM status and have not received a letter/notice yet (or consultant refuses to disclose the letter), which is better to request so you'll have a quick idea of where you stand and be able to act appropriately? Electronic or Physical file? It is stated in the form that if you want to see status of your file, electonic file maybe sufficient as it is processed more quickly. How comprehensive is electronic file? Will it satisfy or give an applicant enough information about his status as being "DECISION MADE"?

As I understand, Physical file takes weeks or months to receive and has all your information....but might be too late coz by the time you received the information, you have exhausted your opportunities to re-appeal. Thus, can I request for both the electonic and physical copies of my file? How? Should I file an individual request for electonic and physical by paying 2 x $5?

CAIPS GURU...anyone?
