Hi all,
I am not sure if this is the right place for this post, my apologies if it isn't!

My wife (main applicant) and I got accepted in the Skilled worker program and will be moving from Europe to Canada (BC) next month!

My wife will be working but I will not, as I am retired already.
So my main question is:
Will I have to pay income taxes on my pension? My pension is paid on my bank account in the EU and of course I pay income taxes over there.
Will I end up paying double taxes in the EU and in CA or how does it work?

And another question:
After we are settled in, I plan to change my pension's bank account from EU to our bank account in Canada, to avoid having wire money from the EU to CA every month.
Would this change anything to whether I have to pay income tax on my pension in Canada or not?

Thanks in advance for any information!
Regards,
Jean.
