I have to disagree with this. According to, http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/cit/grant/residence/tax.asp

it states the following:
"These procedures apply only to applications received on or after June 11, 2015.

To be eligible for citizenship, applicants are required to meet their tax filing obligations under the Income Tax Act for the appropriate relevant period:

For applications received on or after June 11, 2015 until October 10, 2017

  • Four of the taxation years that fall fully or partially within the six years immediately before the date of application.
For applications received on or after October 11, 2017

  • Three of the taxation years that fall fully or partially within the five years immediately before the date of application."
It states the tax years must be immediately before the date of the application. So if you sign it today, 2017 is still a tax year, you would tick off you have to file but you haven't filed yet, and then 2016/5/4/3. 3 out of the last 5 years must show that you filed your taxes.
The partially I suppose is for previous years = or partially within the 5 years.

So after reading Spyfy's original post, it dawned on me I forgot to sign the Online Physical Presence calculator print out as I was rushing to a meeting to mail it.

Any thoughts on whether this will mean my application is returned or will IRCC contact me when they get around to processing my application and ask me to sign it then?

After issues with printing forms and being charged my fees multiple times yesterday, I thought i was done with application headaches; but I seemed to have caused a big one for myself.

Your application will be returned for sure. No doubt about it. Sorry.

That's really up to you. I'm sure you'll get the full package back from Sydney so you won't need to pay twice. If you're willing to risk it you can submit another application and when (if) you get the other one back you can have them void that payment.

If I sign my application on 16 of Oct 2017 then my eligibility period is from 15 Oct 2012 to 15 Oct 2017 (one day before). Correct? On the physical presence calculator, when I enter the date of signature as Oct 15, it tells me the period is from 15 Oct 2012 to 15 Oct 2017. A bit confused.

I dont think you need to pay again just include receipt.

Use same receipt as first application and call them

Guys, might be silly question to ask but its confusing. (May be overwhelming due to new rule, I'm trying to chill as rezafc said in this post).

Question 13 Tell us if you have had immigration, permanent resident status and/or citizenship in any other country outside of Canada, including your country of birth.

My questions are
1. Does this mean you have to write the current Citizenship status? e.g. I'm XXX Country's Citizen by Birth so do I have to mention that in this question?
[updated]2. I'd Work Permit VISA from UK which is expired, but I never traveled to UK during that time(Project cancelled so I couldn't go). So do I have to mention that? I don't remember if I sent copy of that page from my Passport during PR application. This period was way before I cam to Canada.
First entered Canada 2012 Jan:
UK visa: 2008-2010 (stamped on Passport: never traveled)

Thank you guys for your help, much appreciated.

1) Yes. Citizen and date you became a citizen will be month and year of birth.
2) No need to mention work visa but the dates will matter for the residency calculator.

No point in calling. They won't be able to trace it until the completeness check happens in Sydney. That will take at least a month. You'll then receive an AOR if it's accepted or the package back if it's rejected, which I'm sure it will be.
