Bying Tires and Daytime Running Lights

Hi Guys,
I arrived in Canada on Aug 25th. I drove my car from the US. One of the modifications I had to get done on my car was installing daytime running lights. I got it done for $120 ( about half of what Canadian tire charges for the same service) at a place called Nabil Auto at 45 Iron St Toronto ON.

I'm planning to get 4 new tires for my car. Specs are either (P195/60 R 15) or (P185/70R 14). Any of you have experience with buying tires without heavy markup?

Take a look at Red Flag Deals http://forums.redflagdeals.com/motor-vehicles-accessories-f40/ do a search on tires. Most posters buy their new tires in the US, much cheaper.

Did you car already have DRL and was just needed to be activated or you installed DRL in your car. I have a 05 Accord and i do not have DRL in my car and need to get it installed. Can that be done?

I got DRL installed on my Hyundai in Mississauga at a place called Active Auto on Wolfedale Rd for $80. I have also sent several people from this forum there since i got mine and the price was the same.

Is the daytime running lights just a case of wiring up your sidelights to the iginition switch so they come on when you turn the key?

I might be bringing my UK car with me, which doesn't have DRL.

Depending on what tires you want (i.e. something other than Motomaster), driving to the U.S. to buy your tires might be the cheapest option.
