So, in fact you can be out of Canada a total of 2 years when with the old law, you could travel outside of Canada only 1 year within the last 4 years, so here we have more flexibility and the process will be expedited in less than one year.

Absolutely beneficial for people in my situation with a lot of traveling outside Canada.

Now we can count the days from the last 6 years 8)

Without that new law the regular applications would still be with normal processing time of couple of years.

The old rules were horrible.

i narrowly missed the new law, as my application was reached on 8th June. However i think it is important for some people and it is critical for some people to get the citizenship in 3/4 rule. but now its done and we cant do anything.. unless supreme court orders to revoke.
