BWOP processing time

Anyone knows the processing time for BWOP?

My work permit is expiring soon, and I'm just about to submit my CEC application.

Can I stay in Canada and continue to work after my current work permit expires, if I submit the BWOP application?

A BOWP application is just a new work permit application. Accordingly, processing times are available at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp.asp - currently 24 days for an online application, 38 days for a paper application.

Implied status would allow you to keep working while your work permit application is pending, if your old work permit has expired in the meantime.

How long after you submit your CEC application will your work permit expire?

Almost same situation with me. I applied under CEC this month. My closed WP will expire Dec 2014. Planning to apply BOWP after getting AOR. But I got a news from CEC Call center that we can apply without AOR also. Normally BOWP processing time 1 month.

May be some experience person can show us better way.

I'm on a very similar boat here. We can apply for BOWP without AOR?
