I was looking to buy condo within 450k in GTA west side (Burlington/Mississuaga) and couldn't find many options within my budget.Hence I started looking around waterloo area.I do find more options in waterloo. Currently I work in downtown toronto near to union station. Everyday commuting from waterloo to downtown is a challenge I foresee.I am a first time home buyer and would like to know what options available in my budget range .Also I am a IT professional.Would like to know about job market there.I researched online and looks like it has less options than downtown for sure.

If you work in downtown TO commuting daily from Waterloo isn't reasonable. Wait and save more or look at changing jobs. If you find a job in Waterloo then you should buy in Waterloo but buy a home or townhome. Wouldn't suggest a condo in Waterloo.

are you looking for a one bedroom condo? If you can get a little bit more mortgage, you will be able to find a nice place in GTA.

Commuting daily from Waterloo region to Downtown Toronto is not practical. If you can get few days of work from home in a week, then it is okay.
