Hello Experienced,

I am on my way to Canada soonest and from my research one of the major settling necessities is a personal car. Aside www.kijiji.ca, which other site is recommended with varieties of fleets? New or Used which is the best option for a new comer.

Kind regards

It depends on how much for your budget? My personally, If under 10k, I would recommend buy used vehicle from Kijiji, which affordable than brand new one. you can negotiate with the car's owner, You can battle for the best deal and finally agreed to a price you can afford.

Did you know that if you finance a new car through the dealership? the finance person is working on commission? That means that the financing deal you get is still up in the air, although they'll never tell you that. Those things that get added on in the final stages of the deal (extended warranties, undercoating, alarm systems, etc.) are often what the dealership makes the most money on. It's the finance-office person's job to upsell you on those items AFTER you've agreed to a price for the car with the salesman.

Thank Meya06,

I actually settling for used between 10-15k CAD and am looking for other sites that deals in used cars aside kijiji. In the states we have cars.com and carfosale.com with varieties.

Is Kijiji the only one in Canada? If there are others can I have the link?

Many thanks and regards.

As mentioned earlier, autotrader.com is a great site as well.

If you are purchasing a new car, make sure you use sites like unhaggle.com to see what the dealer cost is. you can then make an offer at just above that amount to ensure you are getting the best possible price. Make sure you also search online for any dealer incentives offered by the manufacturer so that you price that into your offer as well.

Many thanks Boss.

Honestly i would have preferred a new car but the cash i can tender is 15k CAD and am looking at Toyota Camry Hybrid as i will be driving over an hour per week. If I can get a good deal the it will be alright. I hope it does happen. Will go through all the options you specified.
