Hi, my husband and I are planning to buy a house in Alberta. He's a Canadian citizen, and I am currently on implied status (waiting for OWP + PR inland app). Has anyone experienced buying a house on implied status? I am hoping it wouldn't be a problem as we have all our financing in place and my husband is a citizen. Thanks

I don't see why it would be a problem, it is really up to the bank as to whether you qualify for a mortgage. Your husband is a CDN so there will be no issue. Are you wondering about your name also being on the mortgage?

Yes, we are applying together based on both our finances. Thank you. I'm just worried because I'm currently on implied status and I am not sure if there's any restrictions on purchasing a house
