Hi there,

Since September I am under Post Graduation Work Permit and I am working full time.

My employer sent me on November and December in Europe for business trip in order to meet some clients, work from there and some paid vacations. During these 2 months I was being paid as if I was inside Canada.

Do these 2 months count for CEC? Or I have to be physically in Canada?

thanks!

No, time outside Canada does not count.

No, personal experience and that is the reason they want a comprehensive travel record. If you are not truthful with that they have the records in any event BUT they will find you for misrepresentation .............. and guess what? ................. finito

Thanks for the response,

Do you have a link where it says why time outside Canada does not count?

Ok I see.

Also this 1 year has to be continuous?

As I said I got the PGWP on September and I went to Europe on November-December.

Do my 2 months in Canada (September- October) count towards CEC or I start counting from the beginning which is January?

No it does not have to be continuous, but you have to have 1 year (12 months) in Canada over the preceding 3 year time frame.

Ok cool. Thanks again.

But I think they have to be continuous in EE in order to get some extra points, right?

no

Ok Last Question!

- Started full time work on September
- November-December I was in Europe
- Since January I am working full time.

I will be able to apply for EE for both FSW and CEC on November.

I have a degree from Canada and I have taken the IELTS.

So my only concern is the work experience and I have to meet the 12 months. That's why I thought that I will be eligible for both CEC and FSW.
