My boyfriend is from the UK while I am from Canada. He has applied for the non-student visa through BUNAC and it says he mustnt have a Canadian spouse/common law partner/fiance. We havent lived together for a year so we're not common law partners, so there's no problem in getting the visa. what we don't know is if we do decide to get engaged, can this be done while he is in Canada during his one year working visa? or if that happens, will it somehow invalidate the visa and he would have to leave the country? thanks for any advice you can give us

No, there is nothing stopping you from getting engaged/married while he is in Canada on a Bunac, as you aren't common/law when the visa was issued.
