Hi all. I got an ITA and I'm gatehring all the documentation I need.
I lived for 11 months in Bulgaria, I am in the process of requesting my police certificate, but it seems my old company didn't register me in the inmigration office ( just in the revenue agency) therefore they don't have any police records.

What can I do? Has anyone been in any similar situation?
Thanks in advance

Registration itself does not matter when it comes to the police certificate. That one is only stating that you did not commit crime in the country and not that you were or were not registered there. You are entitled to ask for the certificate there if you were not registered there.
You need to ask for Bulgarian police cerificate directly and not to your old employer. I am pretty sure they have somethings as lot of the procedures are standardized over EU.
Most likely it will be given by some kind of special police department. The best way is to find the closes Bulgarian embassy and ask about it.

With whom have you already been in contact? Do you have anything official in writing stating that you cannot get a police check?

I have a contact from my old workplace who know people there. It seems they checked in theinmigration office and there was no record.
I will call her again tomorrow to double check and also to ask for an official writing in case it's impossible to get the police certificate. I'm afraid It won't be enough though.
I tried to contact the embassy with no luck I'll do it again tomorrow.
