Buffalo VO to Ottawa - FSW applications "In Process"

Hi,

I had approached local Member of Parliament (MP) office from my area, to request for the time taken to process my FSW application, which is currently "In process" with Buffalo VO from Nov'2011 onwards. I receieved positive PER from CIO in Oct'2011. Am in FSW2 category.

Today I received a call from MP office informing that my file would be moved to Ottawa office from Buffalo VO and the transfer process would take 8-10 weeks beginning from June '2012. The processing would again start after that period, so probably in Aug'2012. Also, he informed that CIC is moving slowly in processing FSW applications.

So all applicants who have FSW applications with Buffalo, need to expect 8-10 weeks of delay in the processing timelines.

Am posting this information, just in case someone who would be in same boat as I am.

My file is transferred from Buffalo VO to Ottawa last week. (FSW application)
They said they are doing the background check.

DO I have to wait 8-10 weeks again!?
My medical is done on March and additional documents(FBI police certificate) were sent to Buffalo VO on early April.
It is taking so long!!

Do you know why our files were transferred to Ottawa?

Hi brant. When did they transfer your file? Before June or after June? How did you find out about the transfer,my file is also at Buffalo.

its really shame for country like canada
if they are taking 8 to 10 week to just file transfer from one place to other
its just 550 km
they have to transfer lots of files not one by one
i dont thing so process could take 8 or 10 weeks

I think that the 8 to 10 weeks is what they originally said when they closed Buffalo
so en of july mid august

my Local MP is Jason Kenney and he has a public event next saturday
I will try to talk to him an see what he has to say cause his office is not helpful at all

I have had it!!!

They better don't give me PR... cause if I get it, I will put all of my effort to politically destroy this conservative party in the next election.

this is abuse! when I applied the processing time was 9 months... my application was in process for the last 28 months! and I still don't know what happened to the documents and medical check and all the other crap that I have been sending these MFers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have spend 20 million dollars for renovation of Buffalo office and extention of the rent agreement for the next 10 years and all of a sudden closed it!!!!!!!!!!! I mean WHHHHYYY????!!

Why don't finish the back log in buffalo first and then close it!??!

Right now the Ottawa pilot has the task of sending the previous applications money on their hand... 180,000 transaction... each one of them at least needs two to three coresponding to check the bank account and other things and 10 minutes for each email equals out to 15000 days/person work of 8 haours of work per day!!!

if thay have put 50 people on this project (that I highly doubt it) it equals out to 1 year of work!!!

Why the hell they've closed the Buffalo office at the time that they needed it the most!!!

Even I am in the same situation . I dont understand they said the processing time for fsw2 is 6 months and fsw is 12..its been 8 months already and i havent recived any medical request and no update on my application. I would request you to please update any info you might have on the cppo processing times.

I called the call centre and they informed me that it will be August 2012 that all thee files will be transferred from Buffalo to Ottawa .Which means the processing is on hold now and begins in September.
