I am of same opinion. Please renew your passport at an indian embassy...ask them how long will it take. I did my renewal here in USA it didn't take more than a week.

Your passport must have at least 6 months validity.

can you let me know how long it take to get ppr in my case
my case was rejected in mar 2013 , I applied for reconsideration but cic did not reconsider my case so I went for judicial appeal
and few day ago I got letter from Department of justice they are ready for settlement with me , my rejection decision will be set aside and they will send my file to new officer and re open my case with no cost
when my case rejected I had paid landing fees and medical was done all kind of documents and pcc already with Ottawa office , I am dec 2009 applicant

I accepted their offer , department of justice sent my file to Ottawa again to new visa officer
and 2 days ago I have re done my medical and send new pcc to Ottawa

how long take to issur ppr now , coz my point was already calculated with them

There is no certain answer to your question. It could be somewhere between 3 months to god knows. You have to be patient and wait.

Got medical and RPRF about two weeks ago but my wife's medical forms were not attached to the e-mail. The doctor's office told me me they do her medicals and find a way to send her results along with mine, but I just decided to e-mail Ottawa to ask why I didn't get her forms, and surprisingly, they replied that it was because my file indicates I am single. The funny thing is I added my wife more than 2 years ago. I responded with proof of addition of spouse to file, and they haven't responded for more than a week now.

Ottawa has set me back 2 weeks already due to their nonchalance because I would love my wife and I to do medicals at the same time.

Type: Security
Staus: Not Started
Status Update date: 2013/05/08
Due Date: 2013/06/07

< Same for Crminality>

I am an FSW1 applicant and applied in 2010- April, does this all started after Medical?
Also, i tried to decode GCMS notes and found out <due date> is the date when this need to be completed, so for may case is this completed but not updated in GCMS notes?

I think the do a criminal check after medicals cause I did Meds in Feb 2012 and my PPR was in Jan 2013 so 1 year later

That is very unfortunate. I hate to say that but if they start processing your wife just now in your application, it may take a while to finalize your file (PPR). Your wife needs to be selected and sec/background checked. It may take up to a year or so. On the other hand, you probably can not do much to expedite it. It is a process that they need to go though slowly. I hope I am wrong in your case, but I have seen someone who added his wife to his file at the last stage and took him over 1 year longer to get PPR.

This is true, for my case also they took almost 8 months and ask multiple document though i added not that late.
i think you can ask them and send repeated email that why it was missed.
