Hi Kk,
even i also saw one more In Process added in my file.
my time line is also same like you, applied under FSW and did medical in march 2013.

Application is going from april 2010, but atleast got MR now..:-)

==================
Another " In Process" is one more added to my application status at last saturday.

Applicant Permanent Residence Application Status

MY NAME In Process
MY NAME In Process

First my status "In Process" is mentioned like

We received your application for permanent residence on April XX, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on June XX, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the Buffalo office. They are pending review.
We transferred your application to the Buffalo office on June XX, 2010. The Buffalo office may contact you.
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March XX, 2012

And the second "In Process" has added this mention

We received your application for permanent residence on July xx, 2010

Does anybody know this is the second "In Process" and has the same situation with me?

Hi Guys ,

I am in Toronto on work permit since Oct 2009 .

I applied for FSW2 in April 2010 and applied for CEC in OCT 2012 .
I did upfront medicals and sent the original FORM IMM1017 B (DMP asked me to send this ) to Ottawa 15 days ago. I put the file number of my CEC
as assumption that CEC is suppose to move faster than FSW2 .

Surprisingly 2 days after they received my medical FORM I received a standard email to get my Medicals Exams and Pay RPRF fees for the FSW2 Application [ 1st file].
I am not sure if the medical request I received has anything to do with Medical form IMM 1017B which we sent .

4 days ago I sent the scanned copies of Form IMM 1017B (Medical Reports) and medical receipt to OttPilot-immigration @ cic.gc.ca along with
FSW2 file number details .
Quickly after 6 hours I got below response from that email -id . Which looks good .

The below information has been added to your file.

However, I noticed that they have changed the subject line of the email to my CEC file number .

I guess they have a system which automatically maps email ID or name to latest file numbers
and even though I mentioned my FSW2 file number in both Subject line and details in the email body subject line got changed.

I emailed them and asked "Is the information added to the right file i.e. FSW2 and Do I need to re do the medicals if its not added ? "

They dint mention about the file number just said

In response to your email, we confirm receipt of your medical exam results

Now, I am worried that the FSW officer might not even see this medical form attached to my file .

Any Pointers guys ??

Regards,
lrow

Guys any idea how long does it take now a days to receive Passport request once medical report is sent and RPRF is paid for FSW application.
What are documents they ask after Medical generally .
Another question, does receiving Medical Request means that Background check is done ??

This is a vital question for all of us. No one really knows the answer. CIC has recently changed their procedure a lot and all of the common steps of immigration does not make sense anymore. Let share with you some of my observations about PPR and MR time-lines:

(1) PNP and CEC applicant all of them used to receive early MR. It means they receive MR at very early stage of application. I know PNP applicant who are done with their medical more than 20 months now but no PR. It means that for PNP and CEC, medical is at the very beginning and all of the process (assessment, b/c check etc is going to be done after the medical). I dont know any PNP who got PPR after only 3-4 months of medical. Waiting after medical is normal for them.

(2) According to CAIPS notes, FSW applicants used to get medical after their filed is reviewed by an officer and only if positively selected. Almost everyone I know in FSW was like this. After abt 1-5 months, PPR is coming depends on how long b/c check is.

(3) some of FSW here like me, Matt_2010, Greatlakes, Jenny, our file was reviewed by Buffalo, but we did not got medical! Something that never happened in previous category (2) Then Buffalo was shut down.

(4) I received MR in March 2013. But my file was actually reviewed in Nov 2011. I did not have medical before March 2013 but according to my MP my b/c has been started in 2012. This means that they reviewed my file in Nov 2011, started the b/c but did not issue the medial request (MR). After the Buffalo, CPP-O reviewed my file again and issued MR. So I assume my b/c should have been finished by now. I think this is the case for all of the category (3).

(5) If our b/c has been finished, then it should not take more than 2-3 months for PPR.

(6) If ou b/c has just started, expect more than 3-4 months.

(7) Have'not you confused yet?

(8) There is no better answer than waiting :)

Thanks for the inputs. I just got updated docs request..... geee. no idea when i can have ppr request.

Hi All,

I've applied for PR in Feb 2010. Got medical request in Jan 2012. Sent the medicals and additional docs requested in March 2012.
Now I was requested for PCC, FBI records again. So now I've sent it yday. Any idea now how long its gonna take for PPR?
Also how long its taking after sending passport? I've some travel plans in Aug so I need passport to travel at that time. Is there a way that we can go to some office in US where they can stamp maple leaf on PP?
Our application was with buffalo VO and now with Ottawa office :(

Nobody knows how long PPR takes. After PRR, it usually takes 2-3 weeks to get it back. I have seen some cases that went to the consulates for visa an got the visa the same day. CIC usually asks you to send to Detroit or New York office. If you go there, they might issue the visa for you in a day. Obviously you have to go to the visa office that CIC assigns and not any canada visa office you prefer.

Is there anyone who has done his medical exam but does not see the "medical results have been received" in ECAS? I am done with my medical for about 2 months, but I don't see this in my ecas.

Hey az21,

I am also one of you my ecase status is also same no line added medical received or anything yes but one thing is that when I got reply from cpp-o on may 27th they informed me that my file is with an officer for final review so I have no idea what's going on no update after that don't know what's next and when .

There are many of us without such updates. I, myself, is one example whose file is sent to medical reassessment after expiration (1 year), but no such line "medical results have been received" in ECAS yet.

I have done my medical in May 12, 2012. Up to day, the line of "medical results have been received" is not shown on Ecase. I donot know why.

Hello Salem10,

Your medical is expired then. May be they sent it to reassessment. Do you make an inquiry with CIC? Try it, they may inform you. They informed be, and since then I have been waiting. It's been almost 2 months now.

Mine has not been added either. Don't worry, I called CIC and talked to them and I was told it is completely up to the officer to update the online status for applicants.

Cheers Y.E.S
