Hi Everyone,

Today I just received my CAIPS notes and I need someone who can tell me the meaning of this

PAPER FILE SENT TO CL FILE BF'D TO FSW ON 27-04-2013

PSDEC 1 14-5-2012
SELDEC 4 22-02-2013
BDEC ___________
OREQ 0
MEDDEC 0
FINDEC 0

and just for information I submitted my RPRF/MEDS/PCC on March 4th2013

so from the above info from the CAIPS can someone translate me and what should I expect next

Thanks in advance,

Anuj

what is the date on the CAIPS? Sometimes they send a 4-5 week old one.

Bring Forward Date (BFD) of your file was on 27-04-2013. In that date, the officer was supposed to review your file again and finalize it. It seems that your medical has not come through yet, therefore officer will put another BFD, probably few weeks to a month. Also, you don't have the background check yet, so officer need to wait for that too. It is better to wait for another month or two. You may want to check with your doctor, but clearly bugging Ottawa wont be useful.

Hi All,

I am a June 2010 Applicant and my application was transferred from Buffalo visa office to Ottawa last year. Like most of you guys here I have been waiting for PR for a long time. I got married in December 2012. When I received my passport request in March 2013 I was asked by CIC to inform them of any changes in my family composition. So then I added my spouse to my PR application (FSW) and I have now received a medical request for my spouse from Ottawa.

My spouse is in the process of doing a medical examination. Because of a scar seen in her X-Ray she has been asked to do additional tests by the physician and we have been advised that it will take at least 45 days to get the results. My spouse does not show any symptoms of any medical condition.

Looking at my current situation (and the timeframe for completing the medical examination for my spouse) we are wondering if it is possible to change conditions in the PR application. By that I mean is it possible to inform CIC that my spouse will not be accompanying me now? This way if I get my PR now, I can sponsor my spouse at later date under family class.

Please advise. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

This is a complicated thing bmtoronto. You may want to contact an immigration lawyer for a good advise.

My points: Addition of your spouse would make your PR longer for sure, because they need to check her too and there are bunch of long paper work inside the government. But now i think it is too late to withdraw her. This is something that conservative government is very sensitive about "try to by-passing CIC rules to get immigration (in your case a faster immigration)". This might get you in trouble or even delaying your application more by itself by addition of additional checks on you. If you are married, then you are married and there is no point of withdrawing her (in CIC's perspectvie), unless you have something nasty in your mind. Be careful.

Don't do anything that smell like abusing/taking advantage of Canadian immigration generosity. Immigration officers are as smart as us, if not smarter.

Thanks az21. Like you said making changes at this point may jeopardize my application. So let me just wait.
Thanks again…

I did check my CAIPS again were should be the date I don't see any but any ways it went like this

>My medicals reached at the office on March 24th

>I send e-mail to office to confirm if they received my requested documents any I got reply on 13th April that they did received my docs
and waiting for my meds to be reflected in their system.

> I applied for CAIPS on 11th April and got reply on May 17th

so like you said that they sometime send you the notes which are old so is it possible that by my BF"D there might be more updates which I don't see in my CAIPS because I applied too early.

And by the way my case was reconsidered after receiving refusal letter back in May2012 and I received medicals so in CAIPS it says SELDEC 4 does that means that my file is approved.

Thanks for the inputs,

Regards,

Anuj

The second in process reflects CPP-O overview of your file. They reviewed your file again and sent you the medical.

It is a very good news Anuj, it means that they are finalizing it (checking ur medical, points etc before granting the PPR). The fact that an officer is assigned to this file means your file wont get lost again in a pile of applications and not look at for 3+ years.

Unless they close CPP-O this time :)

Many of us are in your situation. I bet 5 bucks that you will get PPR in less than a month. Hold your breath!
