I think you can send the current FBI as it is not older than 90 days.

But just to be sure apply for a new one. Its a bit faster now. One of my friend applied and he got it in 4 weeks.

My friend got his Medicals done in April and he got another request for FB1 in October 2012

Thanks. I will apply for the new one too. Btw do you have any idea how long does it takes after submitting FBI report to CIC. Any ideas..any references from your friend or anyone you know?

I am quite concerned about the Detroit office being closed. As per the instructions in the PPR email, I sent my passport to the Detroit office and it was accepted by the Detroit office on 28 January 2013. The notice says:

* Effective January 29, 2013, the Visa and Immigration Sections at the Canadian Embassy in Caracas and the Canadian Consulates General in Detroit and Seattle are closed.

* All permanent resident applications currently in process at the offices in Detroit, Seattle or Caracas will be transferred to the office now responsible, where processing will resume.

What is going to happen to my passport? Are they going to transfer it to LA or NY? I am really concerned if the transfer happens because of our experiences when the Buffalo office closed and the applications were transferred to Ottawa.

Not sure about the time line. Because my friend got the FBI in October and did submit the same to CIC in Nov2012 with Proof of Funds.

Waiting for PPR. He got his Medicals + RPRF request in April.

Today I got a email from Reception --" reception@canadavisa.com" as below

Kindly note that your package was received today.

It has been given to the person responsible for your file.

Should we require additional information or documents,

you will be notified accordingly.

ya they just extend 1 month to 30 months , my timeline is morethan 36 months now

do you think that when files are arriving to Ottawa they will start the process form the beginning ? or just continue
from where the file was paused ?
