So this means if I re-applied again back in May 2012, I would have become a permanent resident sooner ( probably three months from now) than my current application which was filed in May 2010.

I have just accepted the fact that I am an alien in this country and they can do pretty much whatever they like to me. Getting mentally prepared to go back to my home country after 6 years of living in Canada. I would, at least, have a legal status in my home country. Thinking that this is much more humiliating than going back home. I'm philosophically having second thoughts with the idea of immigrating to Canada, or any country for that matter. No matter how successful, law abiding, or civilized I am, I wont be welcome here.

Got so much thinking to do. Maybe it's the right choice to go back and bring peace to myself.

Hi, I have the same feeling and in same boat. Applied in May 2010 and still waiting.......... I guess being legal and paying taxes ontime put you in further delays. I hate the whole process. I have been living in canada for more than 4 years with no permanent status.

my timelines are below.

Applications received by CIO: MAY 2010
Acknowledgement and eligility Review: December 2010
Received by Buffalo and acknowledgement: Feb 2011

hey Matt_2010,

ur case is similar to mine. I am April 2010 applicant no MR yet. Most of the guys here have MR and waiting for PPR.

Hi Ram, Hope you get good news this week. I can see you case. All of us had suffered from this unfair system.
CIC doesn't keep their promises. They change their regulation as the Chameleon change color. They show no dignity. I am not saying they should not select the who they like or the best educated and experience people, but I am saying they should keep their promises and humanitarian respect of this immigration program. The immigration matter for me is not travel for weeks. It our whole life. I have four kids and my work professional, I should plan a head and knows my future.
Canada does not give us advantage. In fact, Canada is the benefit # 1 from skilled immigration program. Canada get people who completed their study and ready to work. The loser is our home countries who spent on us to grew and educated.

On the other side, I read post people get PR and trying to postponed it. I saw people after get PR travel back. This kind of people abuse the system.

My heart full or talk about this stressed experience and I wish no body had similar things.

Friends Waitforever, Sgsgalaxy, and Dude_1982: second taught is also looping in my mind. Hopes we get good news in this year. Be paient

Best wishes to all of you

There is a small difference which is my Work permit expired and no LMO and I have been on Visitor Permit for a while :(. We are not lucky at all.

Except waiting and praying, we can do nothing now to get our ppr. Keep optimistic, we can not let ppr screw our life.
