My wife and I got PPR today. They're giving us 30 days to submit passports and photos to Detroit VO. We have already submitted our RPRF together with an updated FBI certificate several weeks ago. We got this information through email.

Congratulations!!!! Mabuhay! Best of luck to you and your family!

I would advice everybody to check spam and junk folders while checking emails .If PPR email gets into the junk,we miss it and ottawa has given us just 30 days to send our passports then we can be in trouble.

To be on the safe side, make a bit of extra effort in checking emails.

Congratulation! The same question. I have not paid the RPRF yet, do you mind telling us to whom and where should we pay for the money? Thank you.

I am also in the same boat, buffalo did not ask me for RPRF so I did not send. They asked for Updated Bank and FBI statements. My guess is they are not asking for RPRF if back ground checks are still pending.

They asked for both so I submitted both. If I only knew that they would ask for an updated PCC, I would've done it all together to save time.

You should be receiving that information from an email that they will send you. In my case, I had to ask them specifically where to send the check and if it has to be in US or CAD dollars. This is what they said through an email:

Every principal applicant and his/her accompanying spouse/common law partner are required to pay a Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) in the amount of 490 Canadian or American dollars. The RPRF is a separate fee that must be paid in addition to the processing fees that you have already paid.

If you have not already paid the RPRF, it must be submitted in the form of a money order, certified cheque or bank draft payable to the “Canadian Consulate General”. Please write your application number on the back of the certified cheque, money order or bank draft. The RPRF will be refunded if for any reason you do not immigrate to Canada.
