Hi,

The CIC cashed my Banker's Draft (Right of Permanent Residence Fee RPRF) on September 20, 2012. Back in April 2012, the CIC Baffalo Visa Office wrote me that "We have now completed the initial assessment of your application, and expect to finalize your application without an interview". Also, my "Medical records have been received" by the CIC.

When should I expect to hear from CIC (request for passport)?

Mine RPRF was enchased on April. So i didn't think encashing RPRF matters a whole lot for PPR, however my wishes are always with you. Wish u get ur ppr soon.

Sure. Sydney 2010-05; medical request, RFPR and updated police clearance: 2012-04; medical done: 2012-07.

My timeline is on the left.
You said you went back to India.
I am also planning to go back to India.
What you guys suggest.
Currently my online status is RBVO since June 2011.
Waiting for medical request. But according to current trend from CPP-Ottawa they are requesting
Medicals for May-June 2010 applicants. So I guess I have to wait more about 10 to 12 months for my Medicals.
But also it depends on how fast CPP-Ottawa works on cases now.

So the questions are:
Should I wait in USA till receiving my medical request?
Should I move to India and wait for medical request?
If I move to India does it increase my processing time?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I applied for Canada PR under FSW in 2010 when I was in USA. Now I am in India. Today I got a passport request for my whole family including my new born baby. But my question is, how can I send my passports for stamping from India to Detroit office? Because as per Indian Passport rule, it is illegal to send the passport out of county without its holder. Is there any way to stamp the visa with proper way?
