those who already received their PPR request and are in the US, please let me know whats the procedure if we want to travel to the VO in Detroit to personally submit passport..?

Is there any number which I need to contact to schedule for my appointment or can we go just like that without informing the VO on our visit.?

Guys..those who have had this experience please help me.

Congratulations of your PPR! Please find below about the procedure.


If you applied for permanent residence in Canada and you have received a notification from our office, the Case Processing Pilot Office in Ottawa or the Canadian Consulate General in Buffalo requesting you to submit your passport(s) to our office you may do so in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8:30 – 11:00 am. Your passport(s) may be returned to you the same day. You must bring the notification with you.

Hey jec2010,

your time line is almost same to mine. It means that your file is reviewed on Dec 2011 by officer and you are positively selected. You are at background check now. As soon as they get your clearance, they will send medical and soon after PPR.

Have you done medical? If not, your case is also similar to mine. My file is reviewed on November 2011 and since then I am in background check. No medical!

my IELTS is going to be over on 6 dec,12 .
i think shadow_moon also has very close time line like us..

hey jec2010,

have u sent ur ilets to the CIC? if yes, then dont worry about ur ilets. they have it now and they do not need it anymore. expiry is important BEFORE you sent ur ilets to CIC. my ilets is also expired by now.

Reg. b/check, i dunno if everything is alright or not. it should be fine as long as we r not criminal or security danger to Canada. sometimes, they pick something in ur application and then would request info from other countries, it will take time. depends where r u from, where have u lived, worked for who etc.

keep me posted in ur application progress. i will do the same. seems that we r in a same boat. FSW1, 2 ,3 doesn't matter in processing time, as far as i realized.
