Post from Trackett today.

PPR from NY visa office
I have received PPR today where I have a question about the sending passports.
If I use courier service for returning passports, They have mentioned that it should be done from corporate account.
I started my Application in March 2010 (NS, Canada). My time line is that I did my Medicals in March 2012, and received PPR in Sept 2012

this is awesome. very encouraging!

just curios what happened to all those officers at buffalo! were they laid off? hahahaha.....

I check all the posts from LA,NY,Detroit and London. They still issue PPR's on a regular bases.I think the Ottawa office is just to small to cope with all the files.Remember the FSW files must be 3 times more than PNP!There is NO clear indications that M1 FSW files are on hold.Ottawa is the problem! There's just too many of us.Try to remember the 100's of people that received Med's and PPR's from Buffalo(R.I.P. Biaaatch),LA,NY,Detroit.

Dont think anyone in this forums knows how big or small the backlogs are

Our cases should be finnished before jan 13

Thats all i know

Ram84 Buffalo was used to update on Tuesday where as the Ottawa does on Thursday/ Friday so you never know and please do not feel pressure. It harms you but not to them. This CIC FSW category seems a regular business for canadian immigration system to run regular cost to hire manpower.

Canada I think is not ready for trained people like other country because they even do not have enough places for Job to the people who have already been landed.

After few years of getting Canadian PR and citizenship, People are abandoning. So just forget it that we ever apply. It gives me pain because of wasting almost 4000 dollars till now and gives me more pain because of ignorance of my email from CPP Ottawa.

I don think we gonna hear from them till Jan 2013. They've probably hit the caps, waiting for the year renewal to accept new immigrants.

I think CAPS are not for applicants who are in Canada and applied for PR !

i don think so. caps are considering before selection decision. if u pass medical, it means u already positively selected. this means u dont need to worry about the caps anymore.

Hi Guys, Below is the reply got from my MP:

I have just spoken to immigration today and have learned that there is a backlog of cases at the Ottawa case processing centre. This is why you have not heard anything. Your file has neared completion for processing but it will take a few more months. If you do not hear anything by January, contact me again and I will do another inquiry.

Your medicals are good until April, 2013 so that isn't a concern at the moment. I also learned that the file is ready for final decision so it really is just a matter of waiting for the centre to make it through the backlog of cases.

Thanks

Thanks Dr Mohan. Same reply Jan 2013. May be not sure, they start processing from that time. Anyway its good to have some hope rather than to have nothing. Thanks.

Another PPR for a PNP applicant from Ottawa. It was issued today.

Hi, Guys.
I received my PPR today!
OMG...Thanks God...thanks...thanks...
I don't have any words for thanks.

And how is that relevant? We already know, PNPs are being processed.
This topic is about FSW, and it looks like no PPRs were issued by Ottawa yet.

Hopefully by finishing or at least reducing the backlogs of PNP applicants they will start working on our cases...

How many PNP applications are there in the backlog?
How many do they process each day? How many of those do we hear about?

The fact they issued a PPR for another PNP applicant does not mean anything
for FSW applicants. The first post-Buffalo transfer PPR from Ottawa in FSW category
will be interesting and helpful fact. Another one in PNP or any other
category does not help in any way...

First of all, I am in a same boat with you and other guys. We are all frustrated in a dismal condition. Unfortunately it is what it is and we cannot do anything except waiting and waiting...
According to their website (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/hire/provincial.asp); “PNP applications receive priority processing from CIC”. As a result, at this moment they prefer to focus on PNP applicants. Hopefully by issuing PPR for each PNP applicant our waiting time will be reduced.
