Just got an update from my local MP that is:

According to the information provided to me by the Department of Citizenship and Immigration your application is currently processed in Ottawa. I was informed that you should be contacted in the next 3 months regarding any further steps for your application.

I'm really frustrated but now I need to wait until January 2013 that sucks.
Anyone got any news or update? Share here.

I was told by by MP that my file should be put to bed by jan 2013 so that means should be completed
but my file is about a year older than yours

I don't know why Ottawa office is really slow, if until Feb-2013 I didn't get any response, I'll apply CEC for sure.

Hi Nadeem,
I will get some info from my MP soon. I guess you and me might be in a same boat. only difference is I am QSW.
I might hear the same answers as yours from my MP.
I guess you are already in Canada on a work permit. I know few guys who applied at the same time got their passport requests. I do not understand why ours is stuck.

I am also eligible to apply for CEC. thinking serious to apply for the same.

Someone got PPR from Ottawa:

Thanks student3000. By the way, I have received the passports today along with COPR

To answer your questions above:
1) ECAS does not specify as to what is the final decision
2) My PPR request came from the office in Ottawa and they asked me to send PP to Detroit office
3) I have received the passports today, Sep 4th, and I can see on the COPR that the issue date is 21/08/12. I did send'em an "xpresspost" envelope so that return of passports is faster.

HI I just got my PPR today..My case is same as urs..Got ppr from ottawa and need to submit to Detriot.I just wanted to ask you how long will it take for my passports to reach to Detroit ofice and average of how many days will take to get it back..Can u please share some valuable suggestions for sending passports...I m in Regina rite now..Thank You..

PNP application seems having priority even after medical. Congratulation Guys. At least, we can see Ottawa office is moving in snail fashion.

Yes Guys, some province has priority on others I guess.

anyway, syed_h_sha when your WP is going to expire? I'm already on WP and extended second time which is good for May-2014.
