Hey all,

So as for my last message here, I got PPR on Feb 13th, 2013 but had made plans to get married on Feb 19th, 2013. Despite of all your suggestions of finalizing my application and sponsoring her afterwards, I didn't want to postpone important life decisions because of immigration system considerations.

So long story short, I got married on the planned date and notified CIC about it. On Feb 25h, they requested new documents: updated imm008, background declaration for my spouse, family information for for her, and birth certificate/marriage certificate. They also requested spouse's police clearances.

Fortunately, I had expected all that and had them all prepared. It's already submitted. They transferred back my processing from new york to ottawa but I have an officer to my file this time and should address all correspondence to that officer.

Congrats on all the PPRs. It seems like I wasn't the only one getting PPR on February. Hopefully, good news keeps coming for everyone including me.

Urgent: Received Medicals and Passport submission mail from CHC. But I am in USA

I have applied for Canadian PR under Federal Skilled workers program in April 2010. Few days back I got e-mail from Canadian High Commission, New Delhi to submit fresh PCC, Medicals and original Passport with other documents (educational certificates and travel docs) within 45 days. Now the issue is, I am in USA along with my wife since August 2012 and it is not possible to submit the original passport to New Delhi while sitting in USA. I am also not able to travel to India just for passport submission as me and my wife are working here in USA. Kindly suggest possible ways. I am ok if I have to transfer the case from India to here in USA (as I will be here untill 2015). But is it possible? Looking forward for your guidance.
