I don't understand why it is taking so long.....we did our medicals in March and we are still waiting. It is awful how long does it take...I imagined that after the medicals it takes maximum 1-2 months if everything is ok. I mean that there are people who live on a temporary visa either in Canada or US and they are relying on a fast response....

Is there any way to contact Ottawa to see what is happening about our medicals ?

I had read somewhere in the Forum about contacting Ottawa for medicals .

Hey guys so happy now!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got PPR from Seattle office yesterday night..Whoooppppiiiiii..It holiday in canada till tuesday morning,.I will be sending our passports to the office on Tuesday..

Wish you all the best for all my other friends on this forum waiting for PPR..

Its been the longest waiting journey of my life..

Thank you all for all ur advices..I will let u all know when we get our passports back..

I was requested to re medical on end of May, and finish and sent the new one to Ottawa on 01JUN. Don't know whether it would delay my file for a while.

Congrats Omooba If you did your MR in Feb i hope we don't all have to wait 4 months like you did.

Please please Ottawa/Seattle can you speed up. I'd like to make plans for the future and most importantly take a holiday some time soon

Congrats Omooba,!!!!after you got your PPR you don't mind the wait...that was the feeling ew all now had..Hoping we got our Visa's and then you never think how long we've been waiting for this...coz the wait is worth waiting for ........Godbless all.

Hello,
I got medical furtherance for my spouse on 22nd FEB, 2012 and my DMP recommender to consult Pulmonary Specialist, we Consulted Pulmonary Specialist and submitted reports and letter to DMP on 13th APR, 2012. DMP replied back same day saying that he will be forwarding the results to Health Branch Ottawa. Yesterday I sent Status enquiry email to Seattle visa office and got below reply today.

“On 22-FEB-2012, our health department in Ottawa needs more information on your wife's medical tests. Please contact the doctor ASAP.”

I contacted DMP and he told me that he forwarded everything to health department in Ottawa.

I also got CAIPS notes and there is no update to the file after furtherance letter sent on 22-FEB-2012.

DMP sent me email few days back saying he sent reports to Canada. His office is always locked and he is not responding to emails or calls...

Seattle office stop to process Visitor visas,student visas and work permits 10.days ago.
