Buffalo transfter file to Seattle - Please share timeline

Hi everyone,

Have other Seattle transferees seen updates on their eCas? When i contacted Seattle VO they included this in their response "Please do not use the E-CAS on the website, it is not accurate and up-to-date." which lead me to think that maybe my application could be further along than i think. The first screen says "in process" but when i click on the "in process" link it still has the line about review pending.

I would think MR is my next step. Let's hope i see an envelope in the mail soon. Definitely seems to be no logical order to processing as i'm sure i've seen people with later application submission dates that have advanced already. Maybe my NOC is not in demand/important so I am further down the pile. Buffalo seems to have sped up now that we all got transferred out of there

Hi guys,
Congrats to all who got VISA and all the best to (of course including me) waiting for PPR...Can any one (of course those who got VISA) plz explain what was on the VISA? i suppose 5 year PR VISA, which would look like the current working/student VISA ? did you guys get any other letter with it?i am guessing you should, thats what we may need to show to immigration officer to confirm our PR status..can any one explain these both of them in detail, will be much appreciated... My docs were reached more than a month now, i assume i should get PPR in a week or two???

Hi Guys, I dont know what is going on down at the seattle office.I sent them a message regarding getting PPR since 3days now but no reply.

Also my e-cas is still showing 'IN PROCESS' and when click on it,it is still saying'we started processing feb 4,2012..

I did my medicals since Feb 24,2012 and my e-cas has not been updated with 'medical received'

All of you that got your PPR recently,did u get ur e-cas updated with the medicals and other documents if necessary befor getting your PPR.

Pls confirm this to lessen my worries..Thank you all

Don't worry.

I already got my passport back on Wednesday.

My E-cas has changed from 'In process' to 'Decision made'. But 'Medical received' line has never appeared. I consulted quoax, who said that sometimes the VO just overlook the 'medical received' line and e-cas won't give you very accurate information.

You probably got confused with Visa and permit. The visa is the one stamped on your passport. It is attached with glue and cannot take it off unless you willing to make some damage to your passport.

On the other hand, the permit is a regular size paper (maybe letter size), which reads as Study Permit or Work Permit. It maybe stapled to your passport or not.

For the immigration, the visa is stamped on your passport. It is single-entry visa and valid for one year since your medical examination or to the expire date of your passport, depends on which one comes early.

Besides the visa, you will receive another document called COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence). You will need both the visa and the COPR to do your landing.

What documents we receive with the Passport & PRVisa ? Also, Do they give an Year time to Visit Canada for getting PR ?

As I lost my Passport , and my PRVisa will be on new Passport. I need to get the US Visa again ?

How safe it is to get the US Visa(H1B) Stamping in your Permanent Residence Country or Citizenship Country ?

I got our passports back today.
Here is my timeline after the PPR:

May 7: PPR
May 8: Sent the passports to Seattle by Fedex
May 9: Delivered to Seattle VO.
May 9: Visas issued
May 11: Passports were sent back by the Fedex envelope
May 14: Delivered to me
