I applied in 10/2010. Received 1st e-mail about file transfer to Buffalo in Feb 2011. Status is "application received by visa office".
Have not heard after that? What exactly is going on? Can any body please guide. How long it is going to take?

Regarding ECAS status - it still shows IN PROCESS - who knows when it gets udpated and usually every Tuesday but it did not change this morning. I will keep everyone posted.

Are you in USA or in Canada? Was there any change in your ECAS status (Like medicals received etc). I have almost a similar time line like you. My medicals were received at Ottawa office on 30th of December.

I will send the photos per instruction: 1 3/8 by 1 3/4 inches - not regular passport photos - I think I can have passport photos and trimmed it.

I don't expect everyone to understand how I feel but it is surreal. The thought of finally being able to work anywhere I like, not having to worry about whether or not my employer is open to sponsoring my work visa, the actual visa application, approvals, travel restrictions, etc. is just settling in.

My timeline is as follows :

Application filed: November 2009
AOR: 20 Jan, 2010
Buffalo AOR: November 2010
Transferred to LA VO: 28-Sep-2011
MR: Requested on November 17, 2011
Medicals done: December 7, 2011
Medicals received by Ottawa: December 19, 2011
PPR Request: January 16, 2012

Finally, I got the passports request via email and sent them today. My e case says your medicals have been received.
