BUFFALO Transfer Files To Other Visa Office In US

My ecas says "In process" and when I check the details, it says that the application is "pending review" and that the VO might contact me.

Anyone else whose file is transferred to the LA VO where the ecas says "In process" and in the details the review process has actually begun?

My file got transfered to Detroit on Oct-5,2011 and I received the email approval on Nov-3, that my MR forms are about to be mailed out and interview has been waived.

In a couple of days, the e-case started showing "Your application was reviewed and we started processing on November 3, 2011."

Do you know how long it takes to get the MR forms ?

In room3 and many others' case, it only took at most 2-3 weeks (after "started processing date") for them to get the MR form. Congratulation~

If there is no background check, you will hear the good news very soon

hi SF2005. my status changed to IN PROCESS on Jan 26,2011. But till now they have not reviewed my file. I think its common problem in eCas. even i check in CAIPS they did not mention a comment also on Jan 26. It means its a system error.

My file transfer to los angles in oct 14.I am having same issues as you are since april 2011.It shows IN process but i when i click it it says pending review.I don't know what going with visa office.Any body have any idea.

I think all all the files that have been transferred to LA were not being reviewed yet or at least that is what I learned from these forums, therefore no MR for those files.
kinda frustrating when you know some applicants whose files that were transferred to Detroit or NY already received MR.

My file was transferred to LA office on 28-Sep-2011(no mail from Buffalo on this). It got updated that the file was reviewed and they started processing on 20th Oct 2011. My address also disappeared on 1st November and it came back on 10th or 11th November. No communication from LA VO so far either through Email or through Mail.

Mailed to LA office as I was not sure if they have my mail ID correctly noted on their records or not. But I had not received any reply from them.

I am little confused. Please throw some light:

(1) What does "File Reviewed" mean? Had they completed back ground checks, employment verification etc? What does File reviewed actually mean? Just checking whether all the documents are there or not or anything more than that? My file was in process at Buffalo for 6 months (with the message file is pending review) before it was transferred to LA VO.
(2) If the VO needs additional documents will they send them by mail too? I am worried that I might had missed out any communication from the VO.

My 2nd AOR mail from Buffalo did get delivered to me accurately to my email address on the application.

Hi DenverCO,
Did you file your application by yourself, or did you have a lawyer file it for you? If the latter is true, check with them if they have received your paperwork. Let them do the worrying for you.

Try to be patient for another 45 days and contact the VO again (after a total 90 days). I know the wait can be frustrating but if it makes you feel any better, we're all in the same boat.

Hi just sent my fingerprints in and the fingerprint technician said that most people are getting their certificates in 2 weeks (in rare cases, it may take upto 6 weeks)

Congratulations to all that received responses for their medicals...anyone hear from the LA visa office...I wonder what they are waiting for to start processing applications? Seems like all the other visa offices are doing something... :-\
