I think your MP was about right when he said your application will be completed in about 8 weeks (that was August 1, 2014). Hopefully it will be faster. It is 6 weeks since DM and still waiting!

A final determination (positive or negative) has been made regarding your application. A DM before medical request (MR) is more likely to be a negative (refusal) than the one made after.

I did my medicals last November and in March I got an email asking for my passports. My family composition changed so sent info about my newborn. We did medicals for him and send them. Now we are in waiting mode and the medical that we submitted originally will expire in November. That's why I emailed them yesterday asking for status update. My DM could be from the first time they asked my passports?

PPR means they were going to issue a Visa. With the new bundle, you probably will wait a little longer. You will need to get a passport for the baby and Medicals can be extended if u request for it. Alternatively they will issue a visa and ask you to land within a certain time beyond the medical expiry

I did get the passport and medicals for the baby. The problem is that baby was born in 2012 and I sent all his documents right away. I got an email from office that they lost all the docs for the baby. This was before they sent me the PPR. I am just worried that I will have to do the medical for us if they expire.

I have receive PR approval from Ottawa. It looks like I have to wait for the original approval documents to arrive by snail mail and then go to a POE.
