What happened with the forum members? I'm still waiting for PPR after Decision made about three weeks ago. Anybody in same situation?

Its surprising me to see this thread up again. I got depressed in following with my application. It is very long unfair of waiting, now 4 years and 2 months. I did two medicals and medical furtherance and submit a faintness letter. Now, 9 months since I submit the fairness letter. Usually, people get response for fairness letter after 5 months as a maximum. Me now have 9 months of waiting. I remember, I have received email from the Minister office, says that "immigration officer will ready to conclude your file once document requested has been received." The requested document is my fairness letter response which they have for 9 months.
Sorry for long, I have no intension to spent any effort with this application, CIC can do what they want. They teat us like customers in superstore not human been with dignity.

I totally understand your frustration after this length of time. 50 months is beyond the test for patience. However, nothing much can be done from our side except to keep patience run its course. Comparatively, mine is relatively short, 3 years this month. I'm not going to shelf my hopes until I receive a communication suggesting otherwise.
Good luck.
July20!

I got my local MPs office involved and they said my application would be completed in 2 months at the most, that was 6 weeks ago.

I think the agent working on cases after the 20th of July is on vacation or something, and in Canada they usually get 3 weeks vacation after 5 years of service, so we just have to hope he didn't take 6 months :P

If the principal applicant is a US citizen and the spouse is not and NOT from a visa exempt country, do they receive COPR or they have to send both passports to CIC?

This was the situation for my family, I'm American and my husband is not (and not form visa exempt country). We sent all of our passports including mine, they instructed us to. I also wanted to say I'm saying prayers for you all. It has been too long of a wait, maybe sending a cse would see what may be going on with your cases. I'm fully moved over to Canada, but I'm continuing to work in the States, crossing over each day. Not the most ideal situation but I'm still looking for work in Canada. I really like it here and I hope everyone reaches their goal soon.

Thanks for clearing the air. As long as I'm not alone (there are so many of us waiting only that I'm the only 2011 waiting), I can wait. The medicals will be expiring soon and hope to request for an extension if i would not have received PPR by Mid October. We have two houses to worry about in case of a deadline - the most troubling of all just to say the least. However, I'm more concerned about a positive ending rather than the long wait.
Thanks for remembering us.
Come back again soon.
July2011.

I now have 'decision made'. :)
