I just got my ecas status changed to Decision Made

1. We received your application for permanent residence on March 28, 2011.
2. We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on April 27, 2011.
3. Medical results have been received.
4. Your application was reviewed and we started processing on November 1, 2013.
5.A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Wow ... My question was very lucky for you :)

Congrats...!!!

Hi All,

It seems that my long PR journey is taking its last turns---I just received my PPR email.

This journey has been full of joyful and frustrating moments, but the end was great. I hope all of you guys a good end.

Best,
Amir

I also have a question:

The email explicitly asks to send the passport with Canadapost, but I would prefer to send it with Fedex as it is faster and it would get there by Monday. Do you think if it is OK to send it with Fedex, regardless what the email reads?

Thanks,
Amir

I am july'2011 applicant and my medical is already done in Dec 2013 and they asked for medical proofs again yesterday. I did resend docs.

I got new line in ecas-We started processing your application on so and so date...what does this mean? can ppr be the next step :).....over expecting?

Did anybody has experience of this same situation?

thanks
PK

Hi Amir:

I have heard many people send their passports by Fedex, as long as you have the correct address on there, it should reach the officer. Having said that, if your email "explicitly" says use Canadapost, then you may want to do what they say...

Could you please check your personal messages Amir, I had a question.

Thanks,
Cam

If this is true than they changed their policy or you're misreading it. It is my understanding that it doesn't matter how you send it to them, but they will only send it back to you via Canadapost (xpresspost, prepaid shipping label, or regular post). It states that if you send a prepaid envelope of any kind other than Canadapost they will send it back via regular mail. They will not use Fedex, ups etc. I sent our passports using Fedex and included an xpresspost envelope which they used to send them back to me in the States.

Hello again Wolvy:

No I have no updates. They told me not to contact them and be patient. Here is a funny thing, if I had not checked ECAS I would not have known I am Decision Made. Since they don't tell visa exempt applicants anything, just send their COPR, I could have gone waiting and my COPR could have expired. Some arrangement they have...

Now they have told me not to contact and be patient. How would they know if I have received it or not by the time my COPR expires in 3 months... Never ending frustrations I suppose. I plan to contact them soon. It will be 2 months since they sent the COPR.

Is there anyway you can send me the link they provided in the email to get a prepaid shipping label? If not does anyone know the link to get an xpresspost label, it was on Amazon I believe. I remember the link was posted here some time ago.

Many thanks for your assistance,
Cam
Sorry Cam for the delay in responding I tried to pm you the link for the prepaid shipping label http://www.canadapost.ca/personal/tools/cst/intro-e.asp but it didn't go through.

Sorry, I don't know any text abbreviations but my Client Application Status on the cic.ca website now reads:

1.We received your application for permanent residence on September 29, 2011.

2.Medical results have been received.

Medicals were done on February 28th.

Hi Samnov:

You selflessly help everyone here everyday and we seem to have forgotten that you are waiting patiently yourself. Thank you for helping everyone and I too hope your application moves forward quickly and you get your COPR soon.

Many thanks,
Cam

Oh thanks Cam, this forum is a give and take so you have to take and give. I'm happy with anybody's PPR and thinking that my turn is coming one step near to its composition.
Dear Cam waiting also for you post that you have finally received your lost CoPR.
My greetings

Samnov

How long did the whole process take? I am wondering about the whole stamping process because I have a trip scheduled and I can't do it without my passport. :(
