In the forums ppl said either one year from your Medicals or the latest date validity of your passport or one of your dependents.

It is one year from date of issue of visa or if any of the passports for any of the immigrants has expiration dates of less than a year, then all visas will be expire with it. A visa is NOT transferable to a new passport!
I hope this helps.

I finally sent my husband's passport last Monday (last week) as well as a copy of my US passport. My husband is a green card holder and his PP is from another country. I sent the docs via Fedex and also sent them a Xpresspost prepaid US envelope which my brother sent me from Vancouver. Today, we received our CoPRs and visa in my husband's passport. That was so quick!

Wow, this is a great day! Thank you everyone for your insights.

Hi all,

I have a query. As Proof of Funds, can I show a letter from my bank in US stating the total amount of funds in my account? or do I have to take traveller cheques along with me?

Kindly suggest

When CIC send medical request, on the form it says the name address, UCI, etc.

My question is that when we take this form to panel physician, do they match this information with something. I mean does CIC give panel physicians some kind of access to applicants record where they put the UCI number and match form data with CIC system.

Thanks

Yes CIC does send the UCI number to the physician. They ask for the UCI amongst other things before they proceed with the medical examination

They will ask you passports and make photos for e-medical.

Thanks for reply. I understand that part, as I have gone through my medical already. My question is: when panel physician enter UCI or any other ID in e-medical, do they see all the data uploaded by CIC or panel physician type in everything into the system from scratch.

Thanks

If i understand your question correctly, a physician will make your file from zero.

Hello Samnov

Some people in this thread http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/medical-results-have-been-received-and-waiting-for-ppr-t137115.0.html have got ppr recently

It is a difficult wait for ppr after medicals.I am in the same boat. I browse this forum and check ecas and email now and then.

Wish you good luck and hope we all get PPR soon :)
