Hi Wolvy:

It is good to hear from you and a BIG CONGRATULATIONS on getting your COPR 8) Yes this last obstacle is very trying, but such is life... I will have to accept it and deal with it. I actually gave up on this process and went about my life two years ago. Even cancelled my account here.

Almost 90% of post June 2010 applicants got their PR in 8 months. Out of the 10% that were delayed, I believe I am the last one. We suddenly got med request last summer and decided again why not go to Canada... and now all this.

Where in Canada are you heading, I will hopefully go to the Toronto region. If you will be in that area, there is a small group of applicants who meet there and try to help one another with everything. Let me know...

Best,
Cam

Initially we were intending on Toronto but my husband thought it was a better idea if we stayed closer to border of MI and Canada because alot of our support is here (I'm american). I will probably continue to work in MI as well since I've not had much success in looking for employment in Canada. But of course it will probably be easier once we settled there. You can private message me if you'd like. Good Luck!

thanks samnov and mani. gonna ask my attorney to check with visa office.
You are welcome,
In my ecase they did not added "Medicals received" either but after my inquiry and after three weeks they emailed that they got everything. I've still not got that third line added. Waiting for any news from CIC any day.

Hello,

I have received an update on my file via the cic application status page (maybe it is called e-cas? I'm not sure). I was hoping someone could help me understand what it means.
My file for the longest time said "In Process" and when you clicked on it revealed a page that said :

We received your application for permanent residence on January 30, 2012.

Now it still says "in process" but when you click on it is has now 2 lines:

We received your application for permanent residence on January 30, 2012.

We started processing your application on April 3, 2014.

What does this mean? I thought they had been processing for months now.

I will give again my personal timeline in case that helps any of you to help me:
I have not been asked for medicals yet but was asked for my Criminal Record Check and Proof of Funds as well as updated personal history, all of which I sent (in February 2014, March 2014 and October 2013 respectively).

Thanks very much in advance.

In the forums ppl said either one year from your Medicals or the latest date validity of your passport or one of your dependents.

Congrats

In order to add my newborn son to my pending application, CIC asked for certain documents, and at the end of email they said, "all documents should be scanned and email with the exception of police certificate"

I have sent all the requested documents via email but haven't heard anything back from them. I just want to make sure that it's acceptable.

Did anyone sent any documents to CIC via email? if yes, did CIC sent any confirmation of documents receipt.

Thanks

CIC asked you to email the documents thereby it is acceptable for you to email them.

I am positive that it's acceptable, my concern is that they haven't acknowledge the receipt.

I want to avoid the circumstances where I am waiting for their reply and they are waiting for my documents :(

Thanks

Thus far for my application CIC has only acknowledged that Medicals have been received, though I sent all docs requested.

They will check our documentation and let us know if they need any additional docs. Some of the forum members have emailed CIC to confirm the receipt and CIC has responded that they have.

I emailed to cic and in 2 days they conferm the receipt of it. Did you put a copy of your email and the case officers # into your package or not?
