Dear friends, we received our passports today with visas. My family will land this week. I am now back in my home country so I will land early summer. It has been quite an experience, a long wait but worth it. I'm grateful to forum members for all the support. I wish those waiting all the best and I pray everyone's PR journey ends in joy.

God bless you all. :) :) :)

Way to go lady...Congratulation on your PR. I Hope you will have a great life ahead.
All the very best
Stay in touch

Hi Salem:

Your timeline is so complicated, could you please explain how many times you have taken Medicals? It seems that you have done them in 2011 AND 2012... do you need to do them again now? What are they doing to you my friend...

My apologies, just sounded very strange, look forward to your explanation.

Thanks,
Cam

Yes, I did medical in May 2011, and again in June 2012 and medical furtherance in August 2013. Still waiting now almost 4 years. Hope the best.
Thank you.

JJ-C,
Congratulations and enjoy the new excitement. The wait was worthy it! Glory be to the Creator.

Thanks 2011july20

CIC didn't ask for my passport instead I have received Confirmation of Permanent Resident and letter head stating: Because you and your dependents are nationals of visa-exempt country, you will be issued the Confirmation of Permanent Resident (CPR) document only. No visa counterfoil will be issued. However one of our passports is not biometric, as I know only biometric passport of my country does not require visa. I have concerns crossing the border . Any ideas?:o

Very confused !, Hope some of you guys will be able clarify my doubts.

My Application Information (Indian Citizen)

a) FSW applied date : May 2010
b) Docs Request : Nov 2010
c) Doc Sent : June 2011 to Buffalo Office and which was later transferred to Ottawa

I was able to get a temporary job at Toronto, ON from April 2012 to Jan 2013 on Work permit and unfortunately I couldn't continue as the project got closed and I had move back to India

So the wait starts .... after many years waiting I got medical requests, FBI and Police check in 2014. I have got all the documents lined up and plan to send to CIC by end of this week.

Today was discussing with my Lawyer, he said that there will be passport request and I have to send my passports (wife & kid) to Ottawa.

This is absolutely scary, as I am currently in India not sure I can send my passports to Ottawa. Please help me out !!!

Hi, I am also in the same situation like you.
I inquired about how can I send my passport to CPP
for stamping...only option what I can think of is
To send our passport with some one who is
Traveling to Canada with our authorisation for carrying
Our passport...let me know what options your lawyer suggested...
I really appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Andy
