Hi Everybody.
Please help:
I applied for FSW1 in 2011 while I was in Alberta. Now I am in Quebec for a contract job and waiting for the result of my FSW application.

Last Monday, I was asked to submit the copy of my CSQ, which is something for Quebec Skilled Workers not Federal one. I was asked for medical, documents, and RPRF a few month ago. I was waiting for Passport request but I was asked copy of CSQ!!?!

Do you think it is a kind of misunderstanding by CIC an a simple explanation is enough or (hopefully not) I have to obtain a CSQ?
Thanks

There is a requirement you cannot apply under the Federal Skilled Worker Program if you intend to reside in Quebec. I believe you need to convince CIC that this is not the case. Hopefully someone on this forum will be able to assist you on what to do. I would also call CIC to explain to them and ask if they will give you some tips.

Hello Forum members,

My timeline: CIC received my application on July 19,2011
Medical request, visa fee,PCC and FBI certificates request on Nov 1,2013
PPR on Jan 28,2014

For String 11:I think I will send my passport pictures to be on the safe side.

Thanks to all the lovely people on this forum. You made me not to give up on this dream.
Please,I'll need more info on maintaining PR,and also obtaining citizenship.
Must the physical presence in Canada be continuous?Cos my plan is to maintain 3 days physical presence every weekend (Friday nights till Monday mornings) then drive back into U.S (Detroit) on every Monday morning in order to work.

Hi... One question. If they requested medicals and FBI, did you have to ask for more time for the FBI?
When were you able to send the FBI to CIC???

I mean they requested for mine in October but was able to send it till first days of January. Now I wonder how long it can take for PPR

For many of us, the high hurdles have been cleared and more than 3/4 (three quarters) of the journey is already behind us. For various reasons the problems that have united us in this forum have also made us more religious, albeit uncertified. I hope we will stick together even after we land in 'Canaan.'

Yeah...let's keep the bond. There are still many hurdles to be crossed in the new land ... getting a house, re-certification, citizenship etc, but if rally round to raise each other hope, the burden will be light.

Samnov...let us know when you open the restaurant so we may come to cork champagne to cheer you.
