I really doubt if these case analysts are the cause of the delay in our applications. It does appears like thier roles are more of the initial review and cordination of the application files while the actual processing is done by some visa officers. In my own case, the case analyst told me after my MR that my file is in queue for a visa officer to review. The analyst also said that medical result is to be screened and updated by the medical branch.

In sum, except we see somebody who works in CIC and who tell us how they operate, thier modus operandi will remain a guess to us. Hopefully, our PPR comes soon and all these headaches will be over.
I think you are right, because about 9 weeks after medicals we were told our file will be forwarded to an officer for final review. Probably the work load of officers also vary making some take longer. All we can do is to pray and hope.

Yes, prayer and hope are our only options. I strongly believe that our ordeal will be over soon.

Anyone recently who got PPR has an email with no photos requested?
Is it necessary to send photos if not asked in the email for PPR?

Hello Forum members,

I'm planning to move to Michigan where I'll be working Mondays to Fridays, then drive into Windsor, Canada every weekend to maintain my PR in Canada.I intend to get an apartment in Windsor where I'll stay Friday nights till Monday mornings.I'll like to do that for at least 5 or more years till I get my Canadian citizenship. You see,my profession is better remunerated in U.S than in Canada. Will this work out well or does any body have a better plan to obtain Canadian citizenship while also living in U.S very close to the border with Canada. Please guys I need suggestions quickly cos I have to start planning now. Thanks

To obtain a Canadian citizenship it appears you have to live in Canada for 3 years within a period of 4 years. Would this proposal work? Alternatively to maintain the PR you need to live in Canada for a period of 2 years within 5 years

I think some info from this forum should help

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/canadian-pr-working-in-united-state-t183147.0.html;msg2868205#msg2868205

You may also want to review the Citizenship Act and Regulations carefully to see if there are exceptions that apply to you. Good luck
