CASE ANALYST DB00204 >:( update

Hello
I just received an email from Cpp-Ottawa sent by case analyst DB00204, asking for a copy of my PhD thesis.
He/she first asked for updated docs on Dec 11th, and now again wants a copy of my PhD thesis.
I am not done with my PhD and have not completed my thesis yet.
I am going to send my publications and a letter explaining the situation.
Any better idea?

Thanks

??? What?! This whole process is becoming something else.
In addition to sending your publications and an explanatory letter, I think you should let the chair of your supervisory committee add a letter as well.
Wonder what they will ask next ::) ::) ::)

Take heart, there is light at the end of the tunnel. :) :)

This is weird... asking for copy of Phd thesis when you did not stipulate that you are done with your Phd is totally out of it. Dont worry, your PPR is coming very soon.

You may also send an unofficial copy of your current transcript too...at least this will show that you are registered and that your program is in progress. Dont despair...push on

Do not worry. Please provide a list of your publications and I would advise you to be cautious on who writes a letter of support for you. I do not know how nice your supervisors are, but i think getting such a letter from the program administrator is easy. The administrator can even ask you to give details of what should be in the letter. I do not know if a professor will be willing to do that. All the best.

NB: i know of a guy who got such a letter from his supervisor as he wanted to bring his wife to Canada. The professor wrote the letter against him and sealed it. The wife has been denied the second time now. BE CAUTIOUS.

Shinbukan,
The letter can be from any of your supervisors. You could therefore request the letter from a supervisor you have very good rapport with. Such a letter will be on an official letter head and given to you to scan and send to CIC and so you will be privy to the contents of the letter. To avoid being sabotaged, never request a recommendation to be sent directly to CIC.

Usually when it is about your thesis, your supervisors' or graduate tutor's voice is considered more authoritative.

We definitely will, Was wondering, as part of the documents they requested prior to this current request, did they ask you for a letter from your university confirming that you are still enrolled as a student? If not I suggest you add that as well. All the best.

Hi everybody, did someone hear something from FBI?
