You are not alone Bahar, my timeline is exactly like yours, except that I am a 2010 applicant. I think it may have something to do with our security checks and country of origin.

But don't worry, we are very close.
Cam
You know what Cam, a friend who got his medical at the same as I did, got his PR card and went home for a while, but I am stuck here in Canada, because I do not have a visa, it is expired and I applied for a new one which is not ready yet! While I am the one who really needs to be home, because something bad (a sever car crash) happened to my dad and I need to be beside him, he also needs me to be there, but you see I am just waiting for a damn visa........

Stay strong mate. I am sure that your long wait is going to over very soon.

By the way, have you sent a mail to them explaining them about your family emergency? Also, have you ordered your Gcms note?

I tried calling them a million times, I asked MP to help me for an emergency visa, but nothing happened... I have already appled a GCMS note 9 months ago. MP says the are doing your security check and it will be ready soon, but who knows when this "soon" ends....

Thanks for sympathy. I am just fed up with this slow system. I wish I got the visa soon, but no ppr yet for that, I have to stay in Canada for the whole holidays, while my family is need me, and I have to go to classes in early Jan, I am student, therefore I have to wait for at least 5 months from now. The soonest time I can go home is by the end of winter semester! I want to be there right now....

That must be really stressful. Praying and hoping you hear from CIC soon so you can be with your dad and I pray he gets well soon. Don't lose hope, miracles do happen.

Have you thought of applying for a TRV, in case your previous visa has already been expired? Can give a short trip to your native country.
