Tomorrow i have my medicals, any experience you would like to share.
I am doing it in Chicago.
Also when you send the medicals how long does it take to get the request for passport,
if they find no medical problems(which i hope i wont have any).
thanks

I am an FSW2 applicant as well and surprised to see your timeline .. your application seems to be moving really really quick.

I recently received my medical forms and the request to pay the RPRF in October. They did not ask me to fill out any additional documents and I believe it is not uncommon and should not be of concern.

As someone rightly pointed out, since you have an offer of arranged employment, you do not need to show any proof of funds. And owning a house here will definitely stand you in good stead.

I don't believe you have any cause for concern. Looks like you would be getting your PR pretty soon !

Still can't believe the timeline of your application .. was it under any special category or something ? usually the CIC takes around 15 months on an average to process an application under the FSW2, hence wondering :)

Hello Syed,

From what I have seen so far, CIC does not follow the same recipe for every applicant. I received MR and RPRF together without doc update request. I have seen friends who were first asked to update docs and then MR and RPRF and also other who were asked to pay RPRF but no MR yet.
So don't worry, it's a good sign they have contacted you. They are working on your application and will contact you soon asking for other stuff.

Shinbukan

I am the same, I received MR and RPRF together without doc update request.... My co-worker told me she was asked to do a finger print with RCMP, but I didn't get that request either

I had the same question, though it's hard to say, someone get PPR in a month somebody in a year or so. Though what I see from the resent applicants it usually takes 1 to 4 months.

Hopefully this is not late:

I am commenting only because I have been in a similar situation before and wanted to offer you some advice. Sometime in the course of my application, I was also sent a rejection BUT IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SENT THEM PROOF (like you claim) that appropriate documents were submitted to them and you were still rejected, then you need to contact them ASAP to sort it out (and you don't need to pay any lawyer $$$ for that). Resubmit your proof/letters/documents to them (in my case I faxed, emailed and courier'd the docs to them... Yes I did all 3 so they don't say they didn't get them) AND tell them that those documents have already been submitted earlier (again like you claim).

NB- DONT listen to what the agents tell you when you try to call CIC, all they will tell you is that they cant do anything and that you should reapply. THATS NOT TRUE. Ignore them and resend your proof. Sometimes they make mistakes and if the mistake for the refusal is from their end, they will correct it.

Good luck

Great Contribution! I love this forum. I believe our personal experiences yield a wealth of knowledge for others going through similar experiences.

To make sure Moon sees this probably you should send it to him as a personal message as well.

Hi

I received my GCMS notes yesterday and the current status is still showing as "We started processing your application XXXXX". I have engaged an attorney to represent my case since beginning. Below is the final review notes from the agent working on my file.

"REQUEST THE FOLLOWING - Updated IMM8, Schedules 1 & 3 - Medical Examination X 4 - New FBI Police Certificate X 2 - RPRF Payment X 2 "

But either I or my attorney didn't receive any email communication yet about the above request. Is this common (may be not)? Should I wait till the communication is received or are there any other options for me?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hello all,

We did our medical exams on Oct 25th.
I called the doctor's office today and asked them if they could send me a confirmation that all the results have been uploaded to the CIC website. I was told that they can't do so as the results would be uploaded by the test labs.
They gave us a copy though on the day we did medical, with our IMI# stating that we have done our medical exam in that office and that the test results are pending.
So I am wondering if the only way to check CIC has received all the results is to wait for the ecas to show that or there is another option as well. I'll appreciate any comments.

Thanks,

As Shinbukan said, send cic an email. Our e-cas is still RBVO but we just received a response from CIC (to an email we sent them) that they have received the results and it is pending review. We were a bit concerned because it has been four weeks since we did the test, so it was a big relief to receive the response from CIC.

Hey bravoo

Got my medicals done today. It will be sent electronically to Immigration next week.
The only thing left is to wait.
I am not sure about the FBI Clearence, if they would ask me again
to do it., but i am going to send it since i already have one clearance 2 years ago.
Does anyone have any idea of FBI Channelers, are they like an agent for FBI. (private contractor)
Can we use their service to expedite the process, it is not an requirement from the Canadian Immigration as of yet.
I have heard about the cases where some people have been requested for FBI clearance by the Canadian Immigration.
Anyone had the similar experience would like to share.
