1. I'm in Europe and I don't know how to do the FBI process, I just have 60 days to send all the documents and I'm nervous about this. Please any one who knows what steps to follow for the FBI? I don't know where to do the fingerprints since the police here don't do it anymore,.... PLEASE HELP

2. If they are asking for Resd permant fee... It's that like an almost YES?

It is a yes for sure, go through http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/fprequest.htm and you can download the forms online and fill it up, and send it. But gather as much details from everyone, the most important thing is to obtain a FBI type finger print and ur name, passport number to FBI, that's all they need for clearance

Hi folks,
My situation is this: I got the MR on October 10th, where they mentioned we need to take medical exams for both of myself and my wife. The email says that the medical forms would be emailed to me in the next 24 hours. I was expecting two medical forms, that is, two IMM 1017s, one for myslef and one for my wife. But as of now (48 hours have been passed), I have got the IMM 1017 form for my wife only.
Yesterday morning, after 24 hours had passed since I had received MR email, I sent an email to Ottawa, asking them for my IMM 1017. But, they have not responded to it yet. Keeping in mind that, we are passing a long weekend, I do not see any possibility to hear back from Ottawa within next couple of days.

I already have made an appointment with a designated physician on next Thursday. Hope that I will hear back from Ottawa by Wednesday. If not, then I may have to reschedule our medical exam.

Now, my question is, do the physicians necessarily need IMM 1017 form for each of the applicants in order to conduct the medical examination? I heard about the existence of IMM 1017-Upfront, which the physicians keep and use for cases of upfront medical examinations. Can they utilize IMM 1017-Upfront for PR applications as well?

Hi everybody,

I am sending requested documents+forms+RPRF via email; I am also going to mail them on coming Tuesday to make sure everything CIC requested will be there :)
Now i have a question: What if I send them original passport with other documents with a prepaid envelope just to speed up the process. They havn't asked for that but I think this will be their next request as I already submitted medical too. Will there be any problem?
If for any reason my application is rejected, they can just return my passport. What do you think?

Thanks.

That's nearly 8 weeks now. Are you sure you sent your passport to the right place? 5 weeks seem to be the max wait time right now

Hey com2canada

Yes I know bud ..but here is the last communication I got from ottawa ..they did confirm that they have my passport ..please read below :

Dear Mister/Madam,

We have received your passport and your application is currently in queue to be finalized. Please note that we are unable to estimate the remaining processing time required for your application.

If you have included a prepaid Xpresspost return envelope, your passport will be returned using this envelope. If you have followed the instructions on the website and kept note of the tracking number, you should be able to follow its delivery on Canada Post.

If you did not provide a prepaid Xpresspost return envelope, your passport will be returned by regular mail.

They clearly state they are not responsible for any loss of passports, so what happens if anything happens when they clearly haven't asked for it?

I hope you know the instructions and address of where to send documents is different from that of passports?

Yes sir ...it will come all in perfect timing of God ..have a blessed weekend :)

I know one of my freinds got her permanent residence ( she applied under caregiver ) and they told her she can apply for citizenship after one year instead of waiting for 3 years :) ..so hopefully they evaluate the buffalo files with fairness and they be able to do that for all applicants ..especially the ones who have been waiting from 2009 and onwards ... God works in mysterious ways ...so u never know :)
