There are lots of good news coming out this day, some are getting medical, some PPR and for some processing is getting started. At last, Ottawa woke up after one year's rest. I hope we all get some news in another 3-4 months. It is a good sign that they are actually touching 2011 files now. Keep patience guys, our turn is soon now ''

Thanks alot guys ... I remember those times when i was patiently waiting for any move on my file and now within 2-3 months I am done with everything. It still feels like a dream. I was pretty sure that my case would be finalised next year and checking ecas 4-5 times a day became a routine for me!! But, I am glad its all over now !! I hope you all guys get good news soon, coz i know how it feels when we wait each and every minute second of a day for getting some news on our case!! Love you all guys who supported me, guided me and provided all info when I needed the most!! This forum is GREAT, where we can share our frustration, our happiness, our suggestions, our experiences without any cost, restriction or boundary :-* :-* :-* :-* Cheers to all !! Two months has completed to medicals but no PPR and any news!!!!!!!!!
I don't know why Ottawa is taking so long in my case to send PPR.
Any idea what should I do?

You are going under extensive security investigation. Prepare to wait!

still have not received my passport. Any ideas if I should email them to check on it? Or should I wait few more days?

Passport Received by the office: August20/2013
Status Changed to Decision made: August20/2013
Office will contact you regarding the decision.

Also I am working in canada since 2009.

So far have not recieved any updates form the office.
Anybody knows how long it takes to get it back and if its a delay because of the strike at the embassies?

oh that sounds like a good news but USaca confirmed with few DMs n they said we need to have the forms first... so now confused

and also the email i got for RPRF n medicals stated that an email with medical
form is following this email... n i never received it... i replied to the email
i got ( as per instructions in email to notify cic if i dnt get the form
in 48 hrs) to which the VO replied asking me to confirm if I have received the medical
form
or not... to which i replied in negative. after that no reply.

i hope i havny confused u

If the panel physician follows CIC's procedures as expected, he should not require you to bring anything but your passport for ID purposes.

That's the problem

Some people say go for medical, others say wait
One CIC agent says go for medical, another one says wait for form/instructions... both are super confident about what they say
Some physicians do without form, others need the form

The only way to communicate with CIC is via email, where they often do not reply
Call center agents can not access CPP-Ottawa files

I do not mind waiting and keeping in silence, but it is my right to be informed what is going on.
I do not wanna someone contact me and say we were waiting for your medicals for 60 days or whatever, so we regret to tell you the bad news...... and of course feel free to re-apply
