You don't need to withdraw either let them run concurrently and CIC will withdraw the other one that doesn't complete it processing. Search the forum, that is what people normally do when they have two applications.

That sounds great! Thank you very much!

I would wait till decision is made on one of them before the other second application is withdrawn. CIC will themselve discontinue the process of the second application once decision is even made.

anyone knows where can I check my emedical status? I called the doctor and his assistance told me to check it online. she told me to google mycic, create an account then check!!!!!

Hi Dani,
I don't the answer to your question but I've heard that an application has been rejected as the duties in the job letter was not exactly matched with NOC duties, technically they were rephrased instead of copy-n-paste. That's so silly but I heard that. Have you got any other updates?

I have some other questions maybe you can help:
I applied as FSW1 (MI2: after June 2010) to buffalo and then transferred to Ottawa. They have not asked yet but I was wondering if I can update the proof of fund (bank statement with the history of last 6 month). Actually, it has been a long time since I applied and my status has changed a lot. When I applied, I was PhD student, and now all the following has changed and I was wondering if I should email them the following or not:
1) My PhD degree (if they consider I can get more 5 adaptability points)
2) Proof of fund (new bank statement and history)
3) Change of address (I already did it online)
4) New Work permits
5) New passports (which have new passport numbers)

Email, mail, or both?
Thank you very much in advance.

Hi guys
I have a question and I appreciate if someone can help me. my friend is one of the applicant got transferred from Buffalo to Ottawa. After three years , last month Ottawa office contacted him by email and asked him to fill up the forms again and send police certificate from RCMP with proof of fund. He do not know if it is good to update his job history letters and send it with the requested documents!! I hear they rejected one of the transferred applicant from Buffalo after 3 years because they were not satisfied with the job history letter, what do you think guys? did you have the same expereince before? thank you for your time in advance

I dont think so that you can check separately, usually when you check ecase, medical received line is added. Or the other option you can do is to send them a courteous email to confirm about your medical. Usually doctors office, give tracking number and it can be confirmed that your mddical has been received.

Best regards

Hi All,

I received my CAIPS notes on 29th May 2013. As expected nothing has started on my file. Not even Background/criminality check. Ottawa shucks.
I am FSW1-without job offer. Don't know when i will get some communication from Ottawa. I see few people who applied after me are getting medical request and updated document request.

Any one received CAIPS recently please let us know your updates.

Thanks,
Andy

I got medical request today and advice to pay PR fee as well but they did not request Police Clearance certi.. Does that mean It is waived for me. Or will i get notice to submit PCC at some later stage??
Should I pay PR fee at this stage or I can wait till they request passport?
My timeline is as;
Category-FSW1
applied to Sydney Canada- Dec 2010
1st AOR- JAN 2011
applied to buffalo- march 2011
File transfer to Ottawa- June 2012
Ottawa - medical Request-07/10/2013.
