Just write them in their mentioned email & ask for updates. Don't forget to provide your immigration category, file number, UCI (if you have already been assigned), and date of birth along with your concerns.
Good luck!!

Wow...good news. I am so so happy for you. Although my application is just two years on the queue, it is really looking like forever. But each time I visit the forum and I see people who are getting PPR, it gives me hope that mine is drawing close. I am sure very soon, I will be here to share my own good news too.

Hello!!! So they've sent us already PPR last monday and tuesday send them early in am, majority of waiting period for CoPR to returned with stamped visa is 2-3weeks. Crossing fingers, hopefully the vo who's handling my papers is faster than the others, sent them a SAE which is a priority, same day shipping or atleast 2days. Goodluck and happy waiting!!! :-)

Alert – Strike Action

The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. PAFSO union members responsible for processing visa applications have been walking out of offices in Canada and overseas.

Posted processing times for both temporary and permanent resident visa applications do not take into account work stoppages.

Anyone applying for a visa should anticipate delays and submit their application as far in advance as possible.

Contingency plans are already in place to ensure all offices remain open and are providing at least a minimum level of service. Priority will be placed on urgent humanitarian applications.

CIC continues to closely monitor the situation.

Yep... looks like they were slow, but now they don't work at all. Let's support those guys, I want them to have better salary and less workload, to be happy and to give more positive and quick responses to immigration applications.

Your case is completely different buddy! irrelevant information no matter how "precise" is garbage!

Hi joec19,

When did you apply for GCMS notes? I am waiting for my GCMS notes. i applied on 30th May.

Thanks,
Andy

Hi Andy - I applied on May 12. It took exactly 30 days.

Does this PAFSO strike mean our applications are completely paused until it's resolved?

ok. its good sign that atleast your criminality check has started. When i received my last GCMS notes in Feb., nothing was started. i also hope to see atleast criminality check started.
It seems they are giving priority to files with job offer. since i don't have job offer lets see what GCMS shows in my case. If that's not the case (Priority for Job offer)

Thanks,
Andy

Hi Everyone
I received an email from Cpp Ottawa regarding my inquiry.
CPP Ottawa says: Your application is in process. No further action is required at this time. An immigration officer will be in contact with you if any further correspondence is needed.

Now, is this the generic email which Cpp ottawa sends or my application is really in process. I m asking this because my online status on cic website is still : Received by visa office.

Thanks

Keep us posted when you get your notes! I imagine your criminal check has started too by now. With this PAFSO strike now, who knows though.
