Hi All,
i got Medical Req one month ago,
mine was transferred from buffalo to cpp - ott, I applied in 2010 March, Any idea about the timeline? will they check background one more time? i have already sent 2 times fbi police records.
hello there

maybe it takes few more months to get PPR from Ottawa Vo. i am also waiting for PPR more than six months. consider to your background check

they might not again ask for any fbi pr police records unless you not submitted all documents regarding background check such as PCC.

please share here if you get PPR.

Hello,

We did our medicals June 2012, up to now we didn't hear back from them, so maybe is that make your self more busy so that you won't stressed out ur self. Happy waiting!

Hi all
I have been following these discussions for a while. Thought I would share my timeline too
I applied under FSW category (There was a provision for International students to apply for PR, after successfully completing one year of schooling in Canada. But that provision no longer exists now).

June 25th 2010: Applied to Sydney NS
November 8, 2010: Buffalo
File moved to Ottawa CPP (July 2012; MP informed me)
Medicals request: Sept 2012
Medicals done: Oct 2012
RPRF request: Feb 19, 2013
RPRF submitted: Feb 20, 2013

During RPRF request I have been informed that I am eligible for PR but my background checks (admissibility criteria; medical, pcc and criminal records are under review)

My MP told me that the current processing time in Ottawa is approximately one year. So, it looks like it will be several more months yet until my application is finalized.
How long it would take to get a PPR request after RPRF?

Hi, really pleased to find this thread.

I applied to Buffalo 29-9-11 with FSW2 and got PER on 22-12-11. I had pre-arranged employment and am currently living in Canada. I have just heard from my immigration lawyers that the projected waiting time is now in excess of 24 months.

Hi Dooo, Did your immigration lawyer say in excess of 24 months from when you sent your application 09/2011 or from when CPP-O received it? the latter seems to be a lot longer then indicated by CIC.

Hi seniors,

I'm new to this forum.
I applied with an arranged employment on 2011. My application was transferred to Ottawa and I'm still waiting for a medical request.
I saw another thread and some employers and applicant receive a verification call before the medical req.

Did anyone receive a verification call and When??
What the officer asked?

I'd like to prepare for call... Please let me know your experience.

Thanks.

taja

Hi,

This may be a stupid question: what does RPRF stand for? Thanks.

RPRF is the right for permanent residence fee

Hahahaha, there's no such thing as stupid question - it's always better to ask than to remain ignorant and helpless. You are on the right track, bro!

I'm not sure but am trying to get an answer from them but getting a straight answer from a lawyer can be like trying to get blood from a stone!

I am also interested in information about any potential verification call as mentioned by taja.

With all the respect, lawyers cannot be aware of this info unless they have 1000 FSW a month, what I doubt. Trust nobody but CIC official info. You can estimate the pace based on forum of course, but nobody outside the CIC can forecast anything. CIC says that all Buffalo applicants will be processed within 2013. Kinsey says the same. I believe it is quite realistic even though 2013 could be Dec of 2013

Hi Guys,

I am going to send my CEC application next week. One thing i want to make sure that is it necessary to print the filled forms single sided or both sided would be fine? I read on this forum that somebody got his application back stating that application is missing some pages. Now, i have my application ready but i also did back to back printing, should i sent the application like that or should take new single sided prints? Please advice

Maybe ask in the CEC forum? People would be more familiar with the process.

Hey BK11,

This should be fine, there's not any strict rule to print on every page on a separate paper. CEC and FWS and even all visa application filled in the same way, if you're not sure about it try calling to their call centre or send a cover letter explaining that you did the back prints as well, in this way the officer will easily understand how s/he check your application.

Wish you very Good Luck and be positive.

Thanks,
Nadeem

Thanks Nadeem for this great idea. I ll make a cover letter explaining that i did a back printing for some forms. In that way, they will get to know and they ll check properly :)
